The safe, legitimate options are to buy packs through EA or a supported platform store, check EA’s eligible discounts, consider a retail bundle code, or compare an EA Play membership with buying the pack you want. What is free, and what costs extra?
EA says The Sims 4 base game has been free to play since October 18, 2022. EA Help lists supported platforms and explains how to download it: How to download The Sims 4 Base Game.

Packs are separate add-ons, not part of the free base game. EA’s catalog includes Expansion Packs, Game Packs, Stuff Packs, Kits, Maker Packs, and bundles. The selection and purchase route can vary by platform; check the official The Sims 4 buy page and the store for your platform.
Legitimate ways to get packs
Buy digital content from EA or your platform store
EA sells add-ons through its store and Marketplace, while platform-specific availability and buying steps differ. The Marketplace guide explains how Marketplace content works and how to find missing content. Before paying, confirm the pack’s exact contents, that it is compatible with your platform, and that it is not already in your account. EA’s Expansion Packs catalog and Game Packs catalog show current listings; prices and promotions can change, so check the live listing and checkout total.

Check Stack & Save discounts on PC or Mac
EA describes Stack & Save discounts through the EA app for PC and Mac. EA Help says these discounts cannot be combined with sale discounts or EA Play membership discounts. Compare the live cart total with any sale or membership offer rather than assuming discounts stack: EA’s Stack & Save terms.
Consider a retail bundle code
EA says retail The Sims 4 bundles include a code to download Game Packs and Stuff Packs through the EA app, and that bundles vary by territory. That does not establish that a particular retailer has a bundle in stock or that every bundle contains the same packs. Check the listed contents, territory restrictions, platform requirements, and redemption terms before buying. See EA’s FAQ.

Compare EA Play with buying a pack
EA advertises The Sims-related EA Play benefits, including access to Get to Work and a discount on eligible EA digital purchases. Membership benefits and terms can vary by region and change over time. Check EA’s current EA Play information and compare the recurring membership cost and included content with the price of the specific pack you want.
