You can’t get an official version of Gran Turismo for Xbox. The official game catalog lists Gran Turismo 7 and My First Gran Turismo for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5—not Xbox. To play either, you need a supported PlayStation console.
Is Gran Turismo available on Xbox?
No. The official Gran Turismo catalog lists the series’ current games for PlayStation platforms and does not list an Xbox edition. Buying a PlayStation copy will not make it playable on an Xbox.
The catalog is the basis for this answer; it does not establish whether a future announcement could change platform availability. Check the official listing for the latest information.
What can you play instead if you want Gran Turismo?
Gran Turismo 7 on PS4 or PS5
Gran Turismo 7 is the current full game identified on its official product page, which lists it for PS4 and PS5. The page says its Spec III update released on December 4, 2025. The PS5 version is optimized for PS5 and supports PlayStation VR2; VR support excludes two-player split-screen mode.

Can cloud gaming, settings, or backward compatibility help?
The reviewed official catalog provides no Xbox route for Gran Turismo. It does not list an Xbox version that could be installed through cloud gaming, unlocked by changing console settings, or played through Xbox backward compatibility. Those options do not turn a PlayStation edition into an Xbox game.

- Already own a PS4 or PS5: Check the official listing for the Gran Turismo title you want and its supported console.
- Only own an Xbox: Gran Turismo is not available to you as an official Xbox game. Decide whether getting a PlayStation is worthwhile, or stay on Xbox and choose another racing game.
- Considering Gran Turismo Sport for online play: Its online services have ended; the remaining playable portions are offline.
- Comparing the cost of switching: Factor in whether you already have PlayStation hardware and the price and regional availability of the console and game. Current prices and retailer stock were not verified here.
A steering wheel is optional; it is not a requirement for playing Gran Turismo.
