Good Games Group, led by former Humble Games executives Alan Patmore and Mark Nash, acquired the Humble Games publishing business related to its back catalog from Ziff Davis and rebranded its publishing label as Balor Games. The deal covers a catalog reported to include more than 50 games—not the Humble Bundle storefront, which Engadget says remains owned by Ziff Davis.
What was acquired—and what was not
Good Games Group (GGG) acquired the Humble Games publishing business associated with its catalog. The company’s March 2026 announcement also says it acquired the full Firestoke Games portfolio. These are separate parts of Balor Games’ broader portfolio: the Humble catalog alone is described as containing more than 50 titles, while Gematsu reports more than 60 titles across the combined Humble and Firestoke portfolio.
The transaction does not include the Humble Bundle storefront. Engadget reports that Humble Bundle remains owned by Ziff Davis. The announcement and reporting describe a publishing-business and catalog acquisition, not a transfer of the entire Humble company.
Which games are in the catalog?
Examples named in coverage include Slay the Spire, A Hat in Time, SIGNALIS, Forager, Coral Island, Monaco and Wizard of Legend. This is a sample, not a complete inventory. Balor’s announcement does not publish an itemized list or a title-by-title schedule of transferred rights.

Engadget separately reports publishing rights to Fights in Tight Spaces. The official announcement identifies the full Firestoke Games portfolio as another acquired asset; that portfolio should not be conflated with the Humble Games catalog.
Who is running Balor Games?
Balor Games is GGG’s new publishing label, led by former Humble Games executives Alan Patmore and Mark Nash. Engadget reports that after Ziff Davis laid off all 36 Humble Games employees in July 2024, Patmore and Nash formed GGG later that year and initially agreed to help manage the former publisher’s back catalog. The March 4, 2026 announcement marks the subsequent acquisition.

Patmore described the move as continuity for developers who had worked with the former leadership: “For the developers we have worked with over the years, this moment is a reunion. The same leadership, and the same commitment to thoughtful publishing remain in place. What changes is our scale and our focus. Balor Games is built for inventors and backed by believers.” This is the company’s characterization of its plans, not a guarantee of future results.
What Balor says it plans to do
Balor says it will emphasize long-term lifecycle support, community development and publishing expertise while allowing studios to retain their creative identity. The company also says it is seeking new indie projects. These are stated priorities; the announcement does not specify a project slate or provide details of future support for individual games.

What remains undisclosed
The sources do not state the purchase price, how the transaction was financed, or exactly which rights transferred for each title. The reported catalog counts should be read as descriptions of scale, not audited inventory totals. The announcement also does not provide evidence of transaction-linked physical editions or merchandise.
