LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga supports two-player local co-op. Start the game, connect a second compatible controller, and follow the on-screen prompt to add Player 2. The sources reviewed establish couch co-op, not a built-in online multiplayer mode. On Steam, Remote Play Together offers a way to share a local session remotely, but it is a Steam feature rather than native online multiplayer.
How to add a second player
- Launch LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga on your platform.
- Connect or turn on a second compatible controller.
- Use the game’s on-screen prompt to join as Player 2. The join button can depend on the platform and controller, so follow the prompt rather than relying on a universal button instruction.
WB Games Support says Player 2 can “drop in / out anytime” in couch co-op. You can therefore add or remove the second player during a co-op session.

What multiplayer modes are available?
Local co-op
The built-in multiplayer option established by the official listings is two-player local co-op: both players share a local game session. The Xbox Store lists local multiplayer for two players, while Steam lists shared/split-screen co-op. Xbox Store · Steam
Online play and Steam Remote Play Together
The reviewed official game and storefront information does not establish native online multiplayer. Steam does list Remote Play Together, a Steam feature that can let a friend join your local session remotely. This is distinct from a built-in online mode and should not be assumed available on other PC storefronts or consoles. Steam listing
