If by “Xbox G points” you mean your Xbox Rewards or Microsoft Rewards points, open the Rewards hub on your Xbox console or in the Xbox app, then choose an available reward or an eligible Store purchase. You can redeem points for an Xbox Gift Card, sweepstakes entries, donations, or—where offered—apply them directly at checkout.

Ways to spend your points
Redeem an Xbox Gift Card
Choose an Xbox Gift Card in the Rewards hub and redeem the points shown for your account. You can then use the gift card balance toward eligible Microsoft Store purchases. Redeeming an existing points balance for a card is different from buying an Xbox Gift Card from a retailer; a retail purchase does not spend your Rewards points.
Use points directly at Store checkout
Where this option is available, choose an item from the Store on your console and apply points at checkout. Xbox currently describes direct checkout redemption as limited to one item per purchase; subscriptions are excluded, and a minimum purchase is required. Its examples include 200 points for one sweepstakes entry, 1,000 points for a $1 donation, and 5,000 points for up to a $5 Xbox Gift Card. It also describes custom Store redemptions of up to $100. How to choose the best redemption
- For a particular game or add-on, compare the point cost and value displayed in your account for a Gift Card redemption against direct checkout, if direct checkout is offered.
- Check that the reward and redemption path are available in your market before planning around them.
- Review the checkout restrictions if you want to spend points directly: that option is limited to one item, excludes subscriptions, and has a minimum purchase requirement.
