Submit an Activision ban appeal through the official Ban Appeal page. Sign in, check the account details and linked accounts for changes you did not make, explain your appeal in the form’s “Additional Details” field, accept the Terms of Use, complete reCAPTCHA and submit. Temporary bans, limited matchmaking and hardware bans are not eligible; if you suspect your account was hacked, use Activision’s recovery process first.
Check whether the enforcement can be appealed
After you sign in to Activision’s Ban Appeal page, it displays the account’s enforcement status and appeal eligibility. Activision’s current page identifies these limits:

- Temporary bans: cannot be appealed.
- Limited matchmaking: accounts in this state cannot be appealed.
- Hardware bans: are not displayed on the page and are not eligible for appeal.
- Permanent bans: Activision says it will overturn one only if it determines the infraction resulted from the Activision account being hacked. Disagreeing with the enforcement alone does not guarantee an appeal will succeed.
Activision also says the account holder is responsible for infractions on the account, regardless of who was playing at the time. Check the live page for the status and eligibility shown for your account.
Submit the appeal through the official form
- Open Activision’s Ban Appeal page and sign in to the affected Activision account.
- Review the account details and linked accounts shown. Look for links or changes you do not recognize.
- If the account is eligible, enter your explanation in the “Additional Details” field.
- Accept the Terms of Use, complete the required reCAPTCHA, and submit the form.
If you think someone accessed your account
If the security review shows an unfamiliar linked account or account-detail changes you did not make, Activision directs users to submit a Hacked Account Recovery request. If you cannot sign in to the affected account, Activision says you must create a temporary Activision account to submit that request.

If a recovery request is already open, wait for it to be completed before submitting a ban appeal. The Ban Appeal page instructs users not to submit an appeal while account recovery is in progress.
What to write in “Additional Details”
Keep the explanation factual and specific. Identify the affected Activision account and the game or title shown in the form, state the enforcement status displayed on the page, and describe relevant evidence—especially any account access or changes you did not authorize. Activision does not provide a guaranteed template or say that particular wording will change the result; the field asks you to explain why you are appealing.

What happens after submission
Activision’s confirmation message says it will respond by email “in most cases” within 8 hours. If it detects unauthorized activity on the account, the request may take up to 3 business days. These are stated response estimates, not guaranteed deadlines. Activision says appeal status is provided only after its investigation is complete.
Submit through the official form rather than sending duplicate appeals or trying other channels for the same appeal. Activision says it will not respond to multiple submissions or appeals sent through other channels, and that appeal decisions are final.
