To redeem a Battle.net code for Overwatch, sign in to the Battle.net account that should receive the reward, open Account Overview, enter the code in the “Redeem a Code” box, and select “Redeem Code.” For console rewards or subscription benefits, the claim may instead depend on linked accounts and eligibility. Check the code’s own platform, region, and expiry terms before you start.
Redeem a Battle.net code
- Check the code’s terms, including its issuer, eligible platform and region, and expiry date. Overwatch codes do not all necessarily use the same redemption route.
- Sign in to Battle.net using the account that should receive the reward.
- Open Account Overview.
- Enter the code in the “Redeem a Code” box, then select “Redeem Code.”
Blizzard describes this process on its Overwatch promotion page. That page covers a past promotion, so it supports the redemption steps—not the availability or eligibility of any current offer.

Claiming a console reward
If the reward is meant for console play, check that the console account is linked to the Battle.net account you intend to use. Blizzard’s cross-play instructions describe starting the link with the in-game alphanumeric code at blizzard.com/link or by scanning the QR code, then signing in to Battle.net to complete the process. Confirm the linked accounts before claiming a reward so it is associated with the account you mean to use.
Some rewards do not use a code
Account-linked benefits may be claimed through eligibility and linked accounts rather than by typing a code. Blizzard’s Game Pass guidance, for example, requires an active eligible Game Pass tier and linked Xbox and Battle.net accounts. Which temporary benefits are available depends on the tier and platform; check Blizzard’s current Game Pass terms for the specific benefit.

If the code does not work
- Recheck the issuer’s terms for the code’s platform, region, and expiration. Do not assume that an old promotional code is still valid.
- Make sure you signed in to the Battle.net account that should receive the reward, and check the console-to-Battle.net link if the claim is for console play.
- If the code is refused, follow the issuer’s instructions or contact Blizzard Support with the error and platform. Blizzard’s promotion page directs users with Battle.net redemption problems to Blizzard Support.
Promotion terms can be time-limited and specific to one offer. For example, Blizzard’s Support a Streamer campaign was a 2022 offer; its listed December 31, 2022 expiry applied to that campaign, not to Overwatch codes generally.
