You can teleport to Far Lands coordinates, but you will only see the original Far Lands if your Minecraft edition and version generate them. In Bedrock, enable cheats and enter a command such as /tp @s 12550821 64 0 in chat. In Java, use a legacy release—Beta 1.7.3 is reported as the last Java version with the original Far Lands. Teleporting to the same coordinates in a modern version does not recreate the old terrain.
Check your edition and version first
The Java and Bedrock Far Lands are separate historical terrain-generation glitches, not a destination that every Minecraft world can load. A coordinate command moves you to a location; it does not change the terrain generator used by your game version.

| Edition | Reported Far Lands versions | What that means |
|---|---|---|
| Java Edition | Infdev 2010-03-27 through Beta 1.7.3, according to the Minecraft Wiki’s historical reference. | Beta 1.7.3 is reported as the final Java release with the original Far Lands. A modern Java release will not generate the same terrain at those coordinates. |
| Bedrock Edition | v0.9.0 through 1.17.11, according to a community-maintained Bedrock history reference. | This is a secondary-source range, and the evidence does not establish that every build within it behaves identically. Do not assume a current Bedrock version will generate the legacy terrain. |
The version ranges and Java distance below come from community-maintained historical references, not official release documentation. The Bedrock range in particular should be treated as reported history, not an officially verified compatibility guarantee.
Teleport to the Far Lands in Bedrock Edition
Enable cheats and account for achievements
In a Bedrock single-player world, turn on Allow Cheats in the world’s Game settings. Mojang notes that enabling cheats permanently disables achievements for that world, even if you later turn cheats off. On a multiplayer server, you need sufficient permissions to run commands. See Mojang’s command guide.

Enter the coordinate command in chat
- Open the world and open chat.
- Type
/tp @s 12550821 64 0and submit it. Microsoft documents/teleportfor moving a target to coordinates inx y zorder;/tpis an alias, and cheats are required. See the Bedrock teleport command reference. - Choose the horizontal coordinate and direction appropriate to the legacy Far Lands region for your version. The example is not a guarantee for every build or edge; the reported terrain behavior is version-specific.
The example uses a height of 64, but the cited command reference documents the coordinate syntax, not a universally suitable destination height. The historical coordinate target is roughly 12,550,820 blocks from the world center, according to the Minecraft Wiki’s Java history; the Bedrock terrain and exact boundary may differ.
Teleport to the Far Lands in Java Edition
Use a Java version that has the original terrain
The Minecraft Wiki reports the original Java Far Lands in versions from Infdev 2010-03-27 through Beta 1.7.3, with a distance of about 12,550,820 blocks from the world center. The precise boundary varies by direction and variant, so treat that distance as a historical guide rather than one coordinate that works for every edge.

Enable commands and teleport
- In single-player, enable Allow Commands when creating the world or later through World Options. Multiplayer command use depends on your permissions, as described in Mojang’s command guide.
- Open chat and use the teleport command supported by that legacy release to move to the Far Lands coordinates for the direction you want. The documented general form is
/teleport [target player] <destination>; command details can differ by version. - Use a compatible legacy world generator. Running a modern Java release at the same coordinates will not produce the original Far Lands terrain.
If the command fails or the terrain looks ordinary
- Command not allowed: Check that cheats or commands are enabled in single-player and that you have permission on the server.
- Syntax error: Enter the command with a leading slash and verify the target and coordinates. In Bedrock,
/teleportis also accepted; its documented destination order is x, y, z. - You arrived, but there are no Far Lands: Confirm the edition and exact game version. Coordinates alone do not restore a legacy terrain generator.
- The Bedrock result differs from the example: The reported Bedrock range is secondary-source history, and the available evidence does not establish identical behavior for every build in that range.
Microsoft’s Bedrock reference says the optional checkForBlocks setting can prevent a teleport when the destination is occupied; it defaults to false. The page was last updated March 10, 2026.
