If you cannot see the effect, turn on Settings > Game > Show Intense Weather Effects. The effect is limited to your C.A.M.P. radius.
How to set up the Weather Control Station
- Open C.A.M.P. build mode. Find the Weather Control Station in the Services category.
- Place it at your C.A.M.P. Choose a spot within your C.A.M.P. area.
- Connect electricity. Attach a wire to the station so it receives power. Bethesda’s instructions do not specify a required power output or generator model.
- Wait a few moments. The weather effect should appear after the station is placed, wired, and given a little time.
Bethesda’s Weather Control Stations support instructions describe this placement, wiring, and wait process.

Where the weather effect works
The station changes weather within the radius of your C.A.M.P.; it does not change weather across the whole game world. Bethesda’s December 5, 2023 Atlantic City – Boardwalk Paradise update notes also say that other players visiting your C.A.M.P. can see the effect.
Why can’t I see the weather effect?
- Check the visibility setting: Open Settings > Game > Show Intense Weather Effects and switch it on.
- Check the wire: Make sure the station is connected to electricity.
- Give it a moment: Bethesda says to wait a few moments, but does not specify an exact delay.
- Check your location: The effect is tied to the C.A.M.P. radius, so it will not cover the wider game world.
Bethesda does not state a specific power requirement, effect radius measurement, or activation time in its operating instructions.

Where to get a Weather Control Station
Bethesda’s December 5, 2023 update notes described the Clear Weather station as a free Atomic Shop claim and the Atlantic City Boardwalk variant as a Season 15 scoreboard reward. Those are launch-era details, not confirmation that either option is currently available. The official operating instructions do not establish the current store rotation or present acquisition paths.

A Weather Control Station uses space in your C.A.M.P.’s limited build budget. Bethesda’s general C.A.M.P. support explanation describes that budget system, but the consulted official sources do not state a station-specific budget cost.
