Why Nintendo eShop timing guidance does not confirm this game’s unlock
Nintendo Support says the exact eShop release time is decided by the publisher and may vary by title. Its general guidance describes several typical patterns, while explicitly warning that they may not apply to every release:
- Digital-only games usually appear at 9:00 a.m. PT on release day.
- Digital games also sold physically usually appear at 9:00 p.m. PT on the night before release.
- Some third-party games may not appear until 12:00 p.m. PT on release day.
These are general examples from Nintendo, not confirmed unlock times for Age of Imprisonment. The game’s physical availability does not establish which eShop schedule applied, so it would be misleading to assign it a specific hour or convert one of these examples into a regional release time. Nintendo’s support guidance is at Nintendo eShop release timing.
