Where to find Azure Petals
The community item reference lists three plants as Azure Petal sources: Azure Fern, Azurecap Mushroom, and Azure Kelp. The clearest location guidance in published guides is for Azure Kelp in shallow water in Azure Forests. PC Gamer places Azure Forest in Emerald Grove and suggests looking for map areas marked by distinctive blue trees and water.
Check ponds, lakes, rivers, and other shallow-water areas in Azure Forest or similar blue biomes. Published guides also report Azure Kelp in desert oasis pools, but they disagree about how reliably it appears there. Treat oases as an alternate place to search, not a guaranteed shortcut.
How to collect Azure Petals
Published instructions conflict: Nerd’s Chalk and TheSpike recommend equipping a hatchet and breaking Azure Kelp, while PC Gamer says to press F to harvest it and reports that breaking the plant drops Azure Petals instead of kelp. The guides do not establish whether this reflects different game versions or different intended drops.

Use the interaction prompt and inspect what the plant drops in your current version rather than assuming one method or tool is correct. The sources do not establish a universal tool requirement.
Azure Kelp and Azure Petals are different items
Do not confuse harvested Azure Kelp with Azure Petals. Secondary guides list Azure Kelp—not petals—as part of a teleporter recipe: two Azure Kelp, eight Azure Logs, and ten Stone. Petals are listed separately in furniture and potion recipes.

Can you farm Azure Petals?
Hytale’s official Update 2 notes say petals can now be crafted at the Furniture Bench under Textiles, making petals renewable. The notes specifically mention farming Yellow Petals from Sunflower Seeds and say crafting requirements for different colored petals use renewable resources; they do not confirm an Azure Petal seed or a specific farm route. Check the current Textiles recipes in-game for the available Azure option.
