What does labor law say about bargaining?
The NLRB’s general guidance says: “Once a union has been certified or recognized, the employer is required to bargain over your terms and conditions of employment with your union representative.” That describes the general bargaining obligation; it is not a finding about Raven Software or any of the charges listed above. In a June 9, 2023 shareholder filing, Activision Blizzard said it was in active collective bargaining with two CWA local unions representing quality-assurance employees. The company also said Raven’s parties reached a tentative agreement on a post-game credits proposal during a bargaining session on April 12, 2023. PC Gamer reported on August 4, 2025, that Raven QA workers ratified their first contract with Microsoft after three years of negotiations. The report said the contract guaranteed a 10% wage increase over two years and included an end to crunch time and prolonged mandatory overtime, clearer job descriptions and promotion processes, and other protections.
