No official Epic Games source reviewed confirms that Travis Scott returned to Fortnite in 2024, either for a new live event or through an Item Shop appearance. Epic’s general guidance that the shop rotates is not a promise that any particular outfit will return. Treat a claimed date as unverified unless an official Epic announcement or shop record names the content.
What “coming back” could mean
There are three separate possibilities, and evidence for one would not confirm the others:

- A new or repeat live event: a return of the Astronomical experience or a replacement event.
- Item Shop cosmetics: existing Travis Scott or Astro Jack outfits and related items becoming available to buy.
- Fortnite Festival music: a separate song or other music content associated with Travis Scott.
Epic’s official Travis Scott Astronomical Content Creator Guide, published April 21, 2020, documents the original event. It refers to that week’s Astronomical event and advises creators to enter the game 30 minutes early; it does not announce a future event or a 2024 return.
What Epic announced about Fortnite Festival in 2024
Epic’s official 2024 Festival announcements reviewed for this article named other artists and content, not a Travis Scott return:
#1 Best Overall
- Redeemable on accounts in the United States and in U.S. Dollars.
- Gift card must be redeemed at EpicGames.com/redeem. This gift card WILL NOT work if redeemed directly on a console device (PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, etc.)
- If you play Fortnite experiences on a console device, you need to link your Epic Games account to your console account(s) so items purchased at Fortnite.com/item-shop appear across all of your linked accounts
- Requires internet connection, valid Epic account and prior acceptance of the terms
- Redemption: Online
- Season 3, announced April 23, featured Billie Eilish and was scheduled to end June 13, 2024.
- Season 6, announced November 1, centered on Snoop Dogg. Epic also posted a November 8 update about planned lobby jamming.
- In its December 10 anniversary article, Epic said Fortnite Festival’s first year included over 280 Jam Tracks spanning 236 artists. Those figures describe the mode’s first year; they do not indicate that Travis Scott was returning.
This is a conclusion about the official sources reviewed, not proof that no rumor or unindexed notice existed. None of the reviewed 2024 announcements confirms a Travis Scott event, outfit return, or Festival song.
Does the Item Shop rotation mean his skin will return?
No. Epic Support says the Item Shop rotates and advises players to check back for unavailable items, but that general policy does not establish when or whether a particular cosmetic will return. Support also says it cannot grant offers that are not currently in the shop: “Keep in mind that Epic Games Support cannot assist in granting or getting items/offers that are not currently in the Item Shop.” See Epic’s Item Shop return guidance.

How to check a return claim
- Identify what the claim is about: a live event, an existing cosmetic, or Festival music.
- Look for an official Epic or Fortnite announcement, or a live shop listing, that names that specific content.
- Check that the source gives the date or availability being claimed. A general statement about shop rotation is not confirmation.
Unless a claim points to an official notice or shop record that directly confirms the relevant content and timing, it remains unverified.
