There is no verified single “fastest” route here: your best choice depends on unlocks, queues, and whether you want story progress as well as experience.
What changes between levels 90 and 100?
Dawntrail raises the cap from 90 to 100, according to the official expansion listing. One important detail for leveling alternate jobs is the Armoury Bonus: Square Enix’s Patch 7.0 notes set it at 50% from level 90 onward. The 100% bonus in those notes applies below level 90, not across the Dawntrail 90–100 range.
The bonus applies to eligible Disciples of War and Magic other than your highest-level job or class. It is therefore relevant when leveling a combat job below your highest one, but should not be treated as a universal 50% boost to every job or every character.
Choose a route based on what you are leveling for
If you are progressing the Dawntrail story
Follow the main scenario quests (MSQ). Dawntrail’s story begins at level 90, and official quest records include level-100 Dawntrail main-scenario and follow-up content in the Lodestone quest database. The MSQ is the expansion’s story progression path; the cited official material does not establish that completing it alone will take every job to level 100.

Keep playing the job you intend to progress through the story, and use other eligible activities when you need experience or want a change of pace. This keeps story advancement and job leveling aligned without assuming the MSQ is a complete leveling plan for alternate jobs.
If you are leveling an alternate combat job
Use the 50% Armoury Bonus when it applies, then choose among activities you have unlocked and can reasonably access. Patch 7.0 specifically enabled experience from level-90 dungeons and trials, as well as 6.x alliance raid dungeons. These are documented changes, not a complete guarantee of current rewards for every duty: check the relevant later patch notes and duty details before relying on a particular activity.

Dawntrail’s official listing also names FATEs, hunts, treasure hunts, sidequests, and a Duty Support update as expansion content. These give you categories to consider, not a proven ranking by experience per hour. Requirements, unlocks, repeatability, and patch availability can differ, so select activities that fit your job level and current access.
How to compare available activities
No cited official source gives a comparative 90–100 experience-per-hour result, queue-adjusted duty rate, or leveling-time estimate. Rather than label one option fastest, compare the practical trade-offs before committing:

- Access: Check the level requirement, unlock quest, expansion license, and any other prerequisites for the activity.
- Queue or party availability: A duty’s practical pace can depend on whether you have a party or are waiting for matchmaking; no universal comparison is established here.
- Repeatability and limits: Confirm whether the activity can be repeated and whether daily or weekly limits apply.
- Current patch: Verify that the duty or feature is available and awards experience under the patch you are playing.
These checks help you choose a workable route without mistaking a content list for an efficiency benchmark.
Can you level with Duty Support?
Square Enix lists a Duty Support update among Dawntrail’s features, but that listing does not identify which specific dungeons support NPC parties or compare their pace with matchmaking. Check the current in-game Duty Support menu for the duties available to your character. Do not assume that every leveling dungeon has NPC support or that an NPC party is faster than a player queue.

Dawntrail expansion content requires the relevant license to be registered to your service account. Square Enix’s support FAQ explains that expansion access depends on having the necessary licenses registered. The Square Enix Store listing describes Dawntrail as a digital software license, says it requires the Starter Edition or Complete Edition, and notes that its store product is not compatible with the Steam version; Steam account holders are directed to buy through Steam. Store terms can vary by region and platform, so confirm the current listing for your account before purchasing or planning around expansion-only activities.
