Hans Capon is a character; the streamer is Luke Dale, the actor who plays him in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. Insider Gaming reported that Dale’s Twitch audience surged in the weeks after he began streaming the sequel: his reported peak audience grew from about 350 viewers to around 20,000, and he gained 15,000 Twitch followers in roughly two weeks. Those are the article’s reported figures, not independently audited measurements, and they do not establish exactly what caused the growth.
Who is Hans Capon’s actor?
Luke Dale portrays Hans Capon in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. Dale streamed the game as himself; the fictional character did not become a streamer. Insider Gaming used “superstar streamer” as a headline description, not as the name of a verified Twitch status or category.

How quickly did Luke Dale’s Twitch audience grow?
Insider Gaming reported that Dale’s stream of the first Kingdom Come: Deliverance game drew about 350 peak viewers in January 2025. Little more than two weeks later, after he began streaming the sequel, his streams reached peaks of around 20,000 viewers. The same article reported that he gained 15,000 Twitch followers in roughly two weeks.
These are distinct measures: a peak viewer count describes the largest concurrent audience reported for a stream, while followers are accounts that follow a channel. The figures are approximate and come from Insider Gaming’s point-in-time reporting; they should not be read as independently verified current totals. Insider Gaming’s report also said Dale reached Twitch Partner status after eight streams of KCD2.

What happened to his YouTube audience?
Insider Gaming reported that Dale’s YouTube channel had 32,000 subscribers when KCD2 launched and 102,000 when the article was written. Those are subscriber counts for YouTube, separate from his Twitch follower gains and live viewer peaks. They are point-in-time figures, not a current channel count.
Was the game’s popularity the reason?
The timing connects Dale’s audience jump with his KCD2 streams, but the available reporting does not isolate a cause. Game interest, recognition of Dale as Hans Capon, his streaming, and release-period attention may all be relevant; the figures alone cannot show how much any one factor contributed.
There was also a release-period Twitch promotion: PLAION’s official Steam announcement on February 6, 2025, described Twitch Drops for viewers watching participating KCD2 streams. That confirms a broader promotional opportunity around the game, not that Drops caused Dale’s audience growth. PLAION’s Twitch Drops announcement does not establish that Dale’s streams were participating or quantify an effect on his channel.

TwitchTracker’s category page records a peak of 466,164 viewers across 3,172 channels for the Kingdom Come: Deliverance II category on February 4, 2025. This is a category-wide snapshot, not Dale’s personal audience. It gives release-period context for the game’s Twitch activity, but it should not be compared as if it were one streamer’s peak. TwitchTracker’s KCD2 statistics provide the category figures.
Another platform measure should also stay separate: a 2026 Streams Charts report put KCD2 at 4.4 million hours watched on Steam in 2025. The report warns that autoplay on Steam store pages can skew viewership totals, and the figure is about Steam, not Twitch or Dale’s channel. The 2025 Yearly Report explains that caveat. StreamsCharts also notes historical-detail access limits on its KCD2 statistics page.
