Kingdom Come: Deliverance II Patch 1.2 added Barber Mode in Zhelejov and Kuttenberg, alongside broad changes to combat, stealth, skills, horses, NPC behavior, quests, and quality-of-life systems. It is a historical update, not the game’s newest patch: PLAION’s support index lists releases through Patch 1.5.6.
What Patch 1.2 added
Barber Mode in two locations
The headline feature is Barber Mode, available at barbers in Zhelejov and Kuttenberg. The official Deep Silver Patch 1.2 notes describe the update as bringing “a host of fixes, improvements, and rebalancing tweaks to Kingdom Come: Deliverance II.” The notes present Barber Mode as the highlighted addition; much of the rest of the patch consists of adjustments and fixes rather than a new content release.

Combat, armor, and stealth changes
Combat and equipment balance
Patch 1.2 strengthened polearms and made shields cheaper. It also rebalanced armor durability and damage across armor layers, changing how armor equipment and protection fit into the game’s broader combat balance.
Stealth and skills
The update added clothing and equipment intended for stealth, revised stealth statistics, and made stealth kills more likely to fail. It also rebalanced experience gains across several skills and restored the Warmonger perk’s hit-chance benefit.

Economy, crafting, and progression
The patch adjusted a range of prices and item values rather than making one isolated economy change. Food spoilage, pickpocket difficulty, item weights, horse-equipment prices, jewellery, food values, and animal-loot values were among the affected areas. Skill teachers became less expensive.
Blacksmithing received a minigame rebalance and a clearer cooling indication. Horseshoe recipes were also added at various merchants and locations.

Horses, travel, and NPC behavior
Horse and travel adjustments include improved automatic horse-follow behavior when the horse has depleted stamina, better road magnetism, and a fix for a conflict between road magnetism and automatic follow. A fast-travel point was added to Bozhena’s hut.
NPC behavior changes cover crime and interactions: investigation and threat responses were adjusted, some guarded-corpse reactions were improved, and behavior around sleeping in NPC-owned beds changed.

Tutorials, interface, and fixes
Patch 1.2 added hints for fights against multiple opponents and changed elements of the map, inventory, and horse-stat interfaces. Its notes also list numerous quest-specific corrections, plus fixes involving saving and loading, interactions, and world behavior. These are individual fixes, not evidence that every quest or issue was resolved.
The publisher’s summary also describes animation polish, enhanced NPC behavior, and performance optimization. The notes do not establish that performance improved by the same amount—or in the same way—on every platform.

Is Patch 1.2 the latest update?
No. PLAION’s support center lists Patch 1.2 as live and its updates index continues through Patch 1.5.6, with later releases including 1.2.4, 1.3, 1.4, and 1.5. Patch 1.2 is useful as a changelog reference, but it should not be mistaken for the current update.
