Arthur has tuberculosis, and the story reaches its conclusion in the Chapter 6 mission Red Dead Redemption. The finale presents a choice: help John Marston escape or return for the gang’s money. Is one ending officially canon?
Not on the evidence cited here. Roger Clark, who plays Arthur, described four ending variations and gave his personal preference: “So I think going back to help John, with high honour, for me is my canon ending.” That is Clark’s view, not an official Rockstar declaration that one ending is canonical.
