Their creator announced that Devious Desires v5.34 could function alongside WickedWhims, but warned that the combination was imperfect and could still have quirks. How Devious Desires and WickedWhims differ
WickedWhims is made by TURBODRIVER; Devious Desires is a separate project by Deviant Game Mods. WickedWhims’ official page lists supported Sims 4 game versions, says no additional mods are required for its available functionality, and identifies WonderfulWhims as a conflicting mod: WickedWhims official download page.

The available creator information does not establish a complete feature-by-feature comparison, so it would be misleading to claim that one mod includes or lacks particular features relative to the other. The Devious Desires creator’s compatibility announcement specifically discusses addressing incompatibilities on the WickedWhims side; it does not say that Devious Desires expands WickedWhims support for items beyond what WickedWhims supports by default: Devious Desires creator announcement.
Can you install both mods?
The Devious Desires creator announced on May 24 that Devious Desires v5.34 and WickedWhims could function together, while stressing that the result was not perfect. The creator described it this way: “It isn’t perfect and probably never will be, but at least they function together now.” Treat this as a report about the announced versions, not proof that every later release or player configuration will work identically.

The available information confirms a reported pairing; it does not establish all Devious Desires installation requirements or whether Devious Desires requires WickedWhims.
What to check after a Sims 4 update
Game patches can disrupt mods that worked before. EA says creators may need time to update mods after a game update and recommends checking compatibility with the creators. - Check the latest release notes or compatibility announcement from the Devious Desires creator, especially if either mod or the game has updated since the v5.34 announcement.
