No confirmed NSO ports came from Khu’s reported teaser. A February 2026 report said the leaker posted FireRed and LeafGreen box art with the words “They will return soon,” but Nintendo later announced standalone Nintendo Switch versions and said those games were not planned for the Game Boy Advance – Nintendo Classics collection.
What did Khu reportedly tease?
On February 11, 2026, a Reddit post reported that Khu shared Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen box art alongside the phrase “They will return soon.” The original post attributed to Khu was not independently authenticated in the sources reviewed, so the wording and attribution should be treated as a report—not confirmed proof of a leak.

What did Nintendo actually announce?
On February 20, 2026, Nintendo announced Pokémon FireRed Version and Pokémon LeafGreen Version as standalone Nintendo Switch software. Nintendo described them as versions of the 2004 remakes, with the original 151 Pokémon available. That release model is distinct from adding the games to the NSO Game Boy Advance – Nintendo Classics collection.

Nintendo’s official announcement covered the Switch releases. Its FAQ directly addressed the collection question: the Switch versions were not planned for the Game Boy Advance – Nintendo Classics collection. Nintendo added, “We have nothing to announce regarding any other potential titles.”
Does that rule out an NSO release later?
No. Nintendo’s FAQ states that these versions are not planned for the GBA collection and that it has nothing to announce about other potential titles. It does not establish a permanent rule that FireRed or LeafGreen could never appear in another service or collection in the future. There is no confirmed NSO port in the announcements cited here.
