Kibellah is a Death Cult assassin in Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader and the Second Spinner of the Bloodspun Web, a cult aboard the von Valancius flagship. In Owlcat Games’ story, she leaves the shadows to serve as the Rogue Trader’s personal bodyguard. She is associated with the Void Shadows DLC, which also introduces the Bladedancer and Executioner archetypes.
Who is Kibellah?
Owlcat describes the Bloodspun Web as a Death Cult operating in the lower decks of the von Valancius flagship and protecting the dynasty from threats aboard the vessel. Kibellah, its Second Spinner, has trained her mind and body since childhood and follows a strict, duty-bound outlook. She also carries the cult’s sacred deck of the Emperor’s Tarot.

In its September 5, 2024 character feature, Owlcat calls her “a masterful assassin whose talent and fanatical devotion to the Undying Emperor has earned her the title of the Second Spinner of the Bloodspun Web.” The feature frames her departure from the shadows as service to the Rogue Trader: she becomes the dynasty leader’s personal bodyguard.
How is Kibellah connected to Void Shadows?
Owlcat’s May 23, 2024 announcement identifies Kibellah as a skilled Death Cult Assassin companion in Void Shadows, an expansion involving an ancient Death Cult and hidden threats aboard the voidship. The announcement connects her character to the DLC but does not provide exact in-game recruitment steps.

What archetypes are associated with Kibellah?
Owlcat’s August 14, 2024 overview of archetypes for Void Shadows describes the Bladedancer and Executioner. These descriptions explain their broad combat roles; they are not a complete guide to Kibellah’s level-ups or a patch-current optimized build.
| Archetype | Combat emphasis | Mechanics described by Owlcat |
|---|---|---|
| Bladedancer | Mobile melee combat | Kills grant charges of Death From Above, a short jump that damages enemies in its impact area. Its damage scales with Agility and Weapon Skill. Owlcat also describes repositioning through Acrobatic Artistry, the repeatable Death Waltz heroic act, blood sacrifices, and Blade Shroud. |
| Executioner | Damage-over-time effects | Builds around afflictions such as bleeding, poison, and burning, with talents and abilities that exploit or intensify those effects. |
In broad terms, Bladedancer focuses on mobility and attacks linked to kills, while Executioner focuses on applying and exploiting damage-over-time effects. The archetype overview does not establish which is stronger on a particular patch or party composition.

Does the available official information give a best build?
No. Owlcat’s archetype article outlines mechanics, but it does not verify every Kibellah level-up choice, how those choices interact on the current patch, or a best build. Treat the archetype descriptions as a starting point for understanding her combat options, not a finished build prescription.
