MeriStation’s Alejandro Castillo reported after trying the Gamescom demo that “En modo dock se ejecuta a 60 frames por segundo” (“In docked mode, it runs at 60 frames per second”). The report concerns a short, pre-release session played with the console docked, rather than a published benchmark or a statement from ATLUS.

What was—and was not—tested
- Observed: the brief docked demo appeared to run at 60 frames per second, according to MeriStation’s August 29, 2026 preview.
- Not established: handheld frame rate, performance across a full playthrough, final-build behavior, resolution, image quality, or a controlled comparison with PS5, Xbox, or PC.
- Unavailable in the demo: its settings menu was locked, limiting what the preview could verify.
The report is a positive early indication for docked play, but it cannot establish that the released game will hold 60 fps in every scene or play mode. Nintendo’s listing supports TV, tabletop, and handheld modes; that compatibility information does not say how the game performs in handheld mode.
When the Switch 2 version releases
SEGA announced the Nintendo Switch 2 version for November 12, 2026. Nintendo’s US product listing also gives November 12, 2026 as the release date. Release details, price, and preorder availability can vary by market, so check the local Nintendo or retailer listing for current terms.

Nintendo’s US listing gives the game an estimated file size of 62.1 GB and says TV, tabletop, and handheld play modes are supported. The file size is an estimate and may change; leave additional room for system software or future updates. Supported handheld play does not confirm the handheld frame rate seen—or not seen—in the Gamescom demo.

How this differs from a software patch update
The encouraging news here is a preview of the upcoming Switch 2 version, not evidence about a downloadable patch for an already released version. A separate Reddit discussion asks what is included in “this new 1.011 Update,” but that wording does not establish what any patch contains or connect it to the Gamescom performance report.

SEGA SAMMY HOLDINGS reported one million global cumulative units—physical shipments plus digital sales—on the original game’s first day of release in 2024. That historical figure is not a Switch 2 preorder number or a measure of demand for the upcoming version.
