How to navigate the Labyrinthine Path
The Dragon Temple begins with a corridor leading into the Labyrinthine Path. Guessing at staircases is risky: the GameFAQs walkthrough reports that a wrong choice can worsen visibility and warp you back toward the start. Treat the route clues as checks before committing, rather than assuming every passage is obvious.
Use Fae Sight and torch clues
The Ludo guide recommends Fae Sight: in its account, lit torches indicate correct stairs, while unlit torches mark wrong ones. Use this as a practical way to identify the staircase to take when the maze’s visibility becomes difficult.
Check ceiling markings and murals
The Ludo guide also describes a highlighted line on the ceiling that traces much of the route. It does not mark the southeastern secret path, so a missing line there does not by itself mean the route is wrong. The GameFAQs route uses murals as landmarks, including checking the ceiling near a branch and then returning to a prior mural to continue toward the central area. Use the torches, ceiling, and murals as complementary clues; neither guide establishes one clue as a complete map.

Collect items and Polar Stones before moving on
The Labyrinthine Path contains chests and materials, with the guides specifically noting items such as Paladin’s Mace and Firebloom Signal. The GameFAQs walkthrough places the last Polar Stone on the west side of the central area and describes returning from the second mural toward the middle. Its sequence is a community-authored route, not the only documented way through the dungeon.
If you are pursuing A Guiding Gift, check that you have collected the Polar Stones referenced by the quest before proceeding out of the route. The guides’ item listings can help you decide whether to explore the branches rather than rushing to the exit.

Manage MP and handle early enemies
The Ludo guide lists these early enemy weaknesses and hazards:
- Manjula: weak to Strike and Ice; can inflict poison and paralysis.
- Spellwrought Gargosta: weak to Wind.
These are guide-reported tactical notes, not official publisher documentation. If MP becomes scarce, the GameFAQs walkthrough suggests returning to earlier floors and using the Mage method to recover it. It does not specify an ideal MP threshold or require a particular party build, so decide whether to backtrack based on your current resources and the route ahead.

Late encounter: Homo Margo and Malvirta Drako Eht
Story spoilers: The GameFAQs walkthrough describes a late fight against Homo Margo and Malvirta Drako Eht. For this encounter, it reports Homo Margo as weak to Wind and recommends using Wind attacks while keeping the party healed. Do not carry that weakness assumption into the subsequent Homo Margo battle: the walkthrough says that later version can change resistances.
