A shopper reportedly bought a physical PS5 copy of MindsEye for $20 at a local Walmart, according to a June 16, 2025 report from Insider Gaming. That is evidence of one reported store purchase—not a confirmed Walmart-wide sale or a price available now.
What the Walmart report actually says
Insider Gaming reported that Reddit user Rufio1617 posted a photo of a MindsEye PS5 copy with a Walmart clearance tag and confirmed buying it for $20. The outlet compared that amount with a reported original price of $59.88 and described the reduction as more than 50%. Those are the prices cited in the report, not a current price check.

Why this was not proof of a nationwide markdown
The evidence is a reported purchase at the poster’s local Walmart. The coverage did not establish that other Walmart stores had the same price, or that the chain ran a national clearance event.

The clearance tag was reportedly dated June 9, 2025—one day before the game’s June 10 release. That timing means the tag does not show that Walmart marked the game down after observing its launch performance. The reason for the price is not established.
What the shopper wrote
Indy100 reproduced the Reddit poster’s wording: “Found this in the clearance section at my local Walmart for only $20, reading through here maybe it isn’t even worth that?” The phrase “my local Walmart” reflects the shopper’s account; it is not a statement from Walmart. Indy100’s coverage provides the reproduced wording.

Does that price still apply?
No current offer is established by the available records. Walmart search results surfaced a physical PS5 listing at $19.90, but a search-result price does not confirm that the item is currently available, that a particular store has stock, or that the listing is a clearance offer. Check the listing and local availability directly before relying on a price: MindsEye for PS5 at Walmart.
Other dated records are historical context, not live deals: Slickdeals listed an Amazon PS5 offer at $19.99 on November 18, 2025 and marked it expired; PriceCharting recorded a $10.50 PS5 sale dated September 12, 2026. Neither record establishes what a buyer can pay today or what the game is worth in general. Slickdeals’ expired offer and PriceCharting’s transaction history are dated records.
