1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteMindsEye launched on 10 June 2025 with credible reports of glitches and poor PC performance, including screen tearing, low frame rates, freezes and input delay. The developer’s early patches targeted performance, memory use and crashes, and official updates continued through July 2026. That history shows the launch complaints had a basis and support continued—but it does not establish that performance is now fixed on every PC.
What went wrong with MindsEye at launch?
MindsEye released for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on 10 June 2025. In its launch-era review, GamesRadar+ described glitches that had been widely discussed and reported that its reviewer experienced screen tearing on PC. Players in the official Steam launch-patch discussion also described low frame rates, freezes, input delay and visual problems.

Those Steam comments are individual accounts, not a representative survey. They establish that players were reporting these problems, but cannot tell us how many people were affected or how MindsEye performed across different hardware. The available evidence does not provide a controlled launch benchmark or a reliable FPS average.
What did the MindsEye patches change?
| Update | What the developer reported |
|---|---|
| Hotfix #1, June 2025 | The official Hotfix #1 notes list CPU/GPU performance improvements and memory optimizations. The team said it fixed a memory leak it associated with most player-reported crashes and described optimization as ongoing. The notes also mention a depth-of-field setting and PC warnings involving hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling and potentially problematic CPUs. |
| Hotfix #2, 18 June 2025 | The official Hotfix #2 notes list further CPU, GPU and memory improvements, crash fixes and other gameplay fixes. They also flag a Windows branch-prediction performance issue for AMD CPU users. |
| Update 6, 28 November 2025 | The developer’s Update 6 notes describe stability and performance work alongside content and AI/combat changes for PC and consoles. |
| Update 6.1, 18 December 2025 | Update 6.1 includes fixes involving AI, animation, bugs and performance hitches. |
| Update 7, 4 February 2026 | Update 7 includes campaign guidance, AI and visual changes, as well as a performance fix for exterior lighting at Silva Factory. |
| Update 7.2, 6 May 2026 | Update 7.2 lists mission progression, audio, world and interface fixes for PC and consoles. |
| Update 8, 22 July 2026 | The latest official update located here, Update 8, reports further optimization and stability improvements across PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Its notice says multiplayer was not included in the Epic Games Store build at that time. |
The first two hotfixes directly addressed CPU/GPU performance, memory use and crashes. The later notes document continued performance, stability and gameplay fixes, but a list of fixes is not proof that every glitch or frame-rate problem was resolved. The MindsEye Team said in its Hotfix #1 notes: “Performance optimization is our number one focus and an ongoing commitment that will take further time.”

Is MindsEye PC performance fixed now?
There is no evidence here to give a universal yes or no. Update 8 shows that the developer was still reporting optimization and stability work on 22 July 2026, but the available material contains no current controlled PC benchmark across different processors, graphics cards, settings or builds. It therefore cannot establish an October 2026 FPS range or confirm that launch-era stuttering, glitches or crashes persist unchanged.
For a useful comparison with another player’s report, note the platform, exact game build, PC hardware, resolution and graphics settings, and the symptom. Before diagnosing a PC problem, check that the game and drivers are current and record the settings and build you are using. These checks help make reports comparable; they are not a game-specific fix guaranteed by the patch notes.
