Mattel’s official A Minecraft Movie toy line includes multiple movie-inspired Steve figures, but the reviewed product descriptions do not identify them as Jack Black likenesses. The distinction matters: the film stars Black, while Mattel describes the toys as Steve figures. The lineup also includes multi-figure sets, plush toys and role-play items.
Are the Minecraft Movie Steve figures Jack Black action figures?
Not according to the official product descriptions reviewed here. Mattel calls the toys Steve figures and describes them as inspired by A Minecraft Movie; it does not say they depict Jack Black’s likeness. The film’s official site lists Black among its stars, but that does not establish that a particular toy reproduces his appearance.
For shoppers searching for a “Jack Black Minecraft action figure,” the most accurate description is a Minecraft Movie Steve figure. The official sources establish the character and movie connection, not a likeness claim.
What figures and sets does Mattel offer?
12-inch Steve figure
Mattel’s standalone Steve figure is designed at 12-inch scale and includes one figure. The product page describes it as posable, with authentic details, and suggests using it to recreate movie scenes or invent new ones. It is marked for ages 6 and up; figures are sold separately and subject to availability. See Mattel’s 12-inch Steve figure listing for product details and current listing information.

Where can you look for the toys?
Minecraft’s official movie merchandise page links to several retailers, including Amazon, Target and Walmart, as well as the Minecraft Official Shop. It links selected products, such as the official coloring book and Dennis the Wolf plush, to Amazon; it does not verify an Amazon listing for either the 12-inch Steve figure or the Ultimate Movie Set. Check that a listing is the exact item you want, confirm the seller and availability, and compare the live price before buying.
Mattel Japan’s March 31, 2025 announcement described three movie-related products within a spring Minecraft collection and said ten collection products went on sale in Japan on March 26. Its product details and Amazon links are specific to that market; Japanese prices and release information should not be treated as current details for other regions. The film itself opened in North American cinemas and IMAX on April 4, 2025, and internationally beginning April 2, 2025, according to its official site.

- For a different kind of play: the collection also includes plush, role-play items and other formats; check each product page for its exact contents and age marking.
- For a particular likeness: do not infer that a Steve figure depicts Jack Black from the movie connection alone. The reviewed descriptions make no such claim.
- For a purchase: confirm regional availability, exact item, seller and current price on the retailer’s live listing.
