It also introduced Linnéa, a five-star Geo bow character, alongside a new boss, story quests, and other additions. This is a retrospective guide: HoYoverse announced the update for April 8, 2026, while Apple’s App Store version history dates its 6.5.0 listing to April 7. The same history includes later versions, so Luna VI is not the current update.
What Luna VI added to Mondstadt
HoYoverse described Luna VI as an expansion of Mondstadt to the north. The landscape moves from flower fields into the commercial bustle of Dornman Port, with the Temple of Space rising above the new region. Apple’s version history names Windrest Peak and the Temple of Space as new areas.
The Temple is more than a landmark: HoYoverse says it contains fragments created by Asmoday and realms inspired by ancient Liyue, Sumeru, and a blend of civilizations. Its defining exploration feature is a special interaction mechanic that lets players manipulate space to uncover secrets and hidden routes. The announcement describes this mechanic as an exploration feature, rather than a general change to the game’s world systems.
New character and combat additions
Linnéa
The update’s featured character is Linnéa, whom HoYoverse describes as a Snezhnayan fairy and naturalist who advises the Adventurers’ Guild. She is a five-star Geo bow user. The publisher presents her as a support for Lunar-Crystallize teams: her kit converts Hydro-Geo Crystallize reactions into Lunar-Crystallize.

Boss and weapon
Players can encounter the new boss, Watcher: Fallen Vigil, outside Dornman Port. Apple’s version history also lists Golden Frostbound Oath, a new bow. These combat additions sit alongside the region’s exploration and story content.
Quests, events, and other version content
Apple’s version history lists new story quests and the main event, “Where Waves Meet the Reef,” as well as the phased events “Rapid Capture” and “Surveying & Mapping Studies.” Those events were scheduled content, not permanent map additions; the listing does not establish that they remain playable now.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to understand Luna VI now
Luna VI is best understood as a past update with two kinds of additions: durable exploration and character content, and time-limited event activities. Its lasting headline changes were the northern Mondstadt areas, the Temple’s space-manipulation exploration, and Linnéa. The event schedule and other feature listings should be read as a record of what the version included, not as a promise that every activity is still accessible.
