What did the Tarkov updates change?
The two developments came in different patches, rather than one release. Battlestate Games introduced Seasons and the first season, KORD BREACH, with Patch 1.1.0.0 on August 3, 2026. The later Patch 1.1.5.0 on September 8, 2026 reworked Lighthouse and added BTR patrols covering the location on multiple route variants.
How does the Seasons system work?
Seasonal Characters are separate
Seasonal Characters use separate servers and have progress independent of characters in PvP Zone and PvE Zone. Players create or switch to a Seasonal Character through a dedicated character-selection screen. Battlestate describes seasons as bringing new rules, mechanics, rewards, and gameplay changes to create different progression challenges.
Progress resets on an announced cadence
Seasonal Character progression is scheduled to reset every four to six months, when a major content update starts a new season. That is the announced cadence, not a fixed calendar date. The reset applies to Seasonal progression; the announcement distinguishes these characters from PvP Zone and PvE Zone characters.

Global and personal modifiers work differently
Global Modifiers apply to all Seasonal Characters and cannot be changed or disabled individually. The active list is shown during Seasonal Character creation. Personal modifiers are optional and selected at creation: negative modifiers grant points, while positive modifiers spend them. The selected balance must be zero or higher.
Season rewards have unlock conditions and a cutoff
Seasonal rewards are unique trader offers unlocked by conditions such as reaching a PMC level, completing a task, or finishing a task chain. The announcement says unlocked offers remain available permanently across the listed modes. It also warns that KORD BREACH rewards still locked when Season One ends will become permanently unobtainable. That warning concerns the unreached Season One rewards; the announcement says seasonal achievements can still be earned in later seasons.

What is the free Battle Pass?
The first season also introduced a free Battle Pass shared across PvP Season, PvP Zone, and PvE Zone. Players advance it by finding and submitting TerraGroup documentation. The documents can come from raids, the KORD BREACH special task line, and certain Black Division operatives. Daily document limits depend on the selected mode, but progress toward the limit is shared.
Where does the BTR patrol on Lighthouse?
In Patch 1.1.5.0, the BTR began patrolling Lighthouse on several route variants. Battlestate says those routes cover the entire location, including the approach to the bridge leading to the peninsula and the water treatment plant. The announcement does not give a patrol schedule, route probabilities, or exact timing, so it does not establish when the BTR will reach a particular area on a given raid.

What else changed in the Lighthouse rework?
- Rogues were moved from the water treatment plant to the mountain chalets.
- Stationary weapons and landmines were removed from the water treatment plant.
- Open areas along the main road were reworked with additional cover and routes.
- An Icebreaker transition point was added; the hovercraft is at the pier near the water cottages.
- Rogue stashes were added.
- The Marked Room and Prapor’s camp were moved.
These changes alter enemy placement, routes, cover, and access points, but the patch announcement provides no measured travel times, survival statistics, or route odds to quantify their effect.

The official patch notes describe the intended systems and map changes, but they do not establish player sentiment or empirical effects such as encounter rates and survival outcomes. They also do not provide detailed patrol schedules or odds for the Lighthouse BTR. Treat any precise timing or probability claim as unconfirmed unless a later official update supplies it.
