Their disc counts apply to those specific releases—not every platform or edition—and a multi-disc package does not always mean the discs contain the full game.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth: PS5 physical edition
Square Enix identifies physical editions of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on its official edition page. The cited PS5 package uses two discs: one labeled Data Disc and one labeled Play Disc. The count and labels describe this PS5 physical release; they should not be assumed to apply to other platform versions.
Baldur’s Gate 3: Xbox Deluxe physical edition
Larian’s US store listing specifies four discs for the Xbox Deluxe retail copy. That is a platform- and edition-specific configuration, not a claim about every physical version of Baldur’s Gate 3.
Why “multi-disc” can mean different things
Disc count alone does not tell you whether a package contains the game data or merely helps you obtain the game. Larian says the PS5 and Xbox Deluxe editions include a physical version of the game, while the PC Deluxe version includes a downloader app and requires a game download. The PC package therefore should not be counted as a multi-disc game-data release on the same basis as the console editions. Larian’s Deluxe Edition details

When checking another release, look at the exact platform and edition, then confirm whether the discs are game media or bonus media. A soundtrack or extras disc is not a second game disc, and a physical box containing a downloader is not equivalent to a package carrying the game across discs.
