Warner Bros. Games has published steps for finding or reinstalling Mortal Kombat (2011) add-ons, but its official pages do not confirm a widespread Komplete Edition DLC bug. The right fix depends on whether you have the physical Komplete Edition disc or are trying to retrieve a separate digital purchase, and on which console you use.
Has WB acknowledged a general MK9 DLC outage?
Not in the official pages reviewed. WB’s DLC support guide explains how to locate add-ons on supported platforms, while its separate Mortal Kombat (2011) status notice says some online features have ended. Neither confirms a widespread defect that makes Komplete Edition DLC unavailable.

A player saying that DLC did not appear after installing the Xbox 360 disc on an Xbox Series X is reporting an individual symptom, not establishing a general outage. To narrow it down, check the platform, edition, account that owns the content, region, and whether the content should be on the disc or was bought separately.
What is included with Komplete Edition?
WB says the physical Mortal Kombat (2011) Komplete Edition includes 15 classic skins and four DLC playable characters on the disc. If you have that edition, those listed items are included with the disc rather than dependent on retrieving a separate digital purchase. This does not establish that every separately released add-on or every platform edition is included.

Find or reinstall content by platform
PlayStation 3: check the Download List
- Open PlayStation Network, then go to Account Management > Transaction Management > Download List.
- Look for the Mortal Kombat add-on and download it again if it appears in the list.
- Check entries from different purchase or redemption dates: WB notes that items may appear in different places, and later season-pass content may be listed separately.
WB says PS3 game and add-on purchases moved off web and mobile in October 2020; purchases must be made through a PS3 console. For content you already own, use the console’s Download List.
Xbox 360: use Extras for owned content
- Open Games and find Mortal Kombat.
- Open the game’s Extras tab and choose See All.
- Select Download Again for the content shown as owned.
WB says the Xbox 360 Store and Marketplace were retired on July 29, 2024. Do not assume the old storefront can be used to buy new content; the guide’s steps concern finding and redownloading content shown as previously owned.

Xbox One and Xbox Series: inspect available add-ons
- Open My Games and Apps and select Mortal Kombat.
- Open the game’s options, choose Ready to Install, select the available add-on, and save changes.
- If an installed add-on is not working, close the game, uninstall the impacted add-on, fully shut down the console, restart it, and reinstall the add-on.
WB confirms that the Xbox 360 version of Mortal Kombat (2011) can be played on Xbox One and Xbox Series X using a physical disc or digital download. It also cautions that some games or DLC may not be available in every region, so backward compatibility does not guarantee that a particular add-on can be retrieved in yours.
Steam / PC: verify the product and use WB support
Steam lists the product as Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition and identifies WB Games as its support route. Its generic DLC help is not confirmation of an MK9-specific outage or a verified fix for a particular add-on. If a PC add-on is missing, check the edition and ownership in your Steam account and contact WB Games support for title-specific help rather than applying instructions documented for another game.

Separate DLC access from discontinued online features
WB says online multiplayer for Mortal Kombat (2011) on PS3 and Xbox 360 is no longer available. It also says the Message of the Day feature on PS3, Xbox 360, and Steam has ended. The notice says offline modes, including Story mode, remain accessible. These service changes are separate from whether owned or on-disc DLC is available.
Choose the right recovery path
| What you have | Where to look | What the official guidance establishes |
|---|---|---|
| Physical Komplete Edition | Use the game disc on its matching platform | WB says 15 classic skins and four DLC playable characters are on the disc. |
| Previously purchased PS3 add-on | Account Management > Transaction Management > Download List | WB’s guide points PS3 users to the Download List; some items may be separated by purchase date or season pass. |
| Previously purchased Xbox 360 add-on | Game’s Extras > See All > Download Again | WB gives these steps for owned content; the Xbox 360 Store and Marketplace retired July 29, 2024. |
| Xbox One or Series add-on | My Games and Apps > game options > Ready to Install | WB documents finding available add-ons and reinstalling impacted add-ons; availability may vary by region. |
| Steam / PC content | Check account ownership and contact WB Games support | Steam identifies WB Games as support; its general DLC page does not establish an MK9-specific outage or fix. |
If the content is not where the relevant guide says it should be, confirm that you are signed into the purchasing account, that the item is owned or included in your edition, and that the content is available for your region. WB’s general instructions cannot determine account-specific entitlements.
