“New World: Aeternum update patch notes” could refer to several releases. The final major content update was Season 10: Nighthaven, released October 13, 2025; later notes covered a smaller maintenance update and the unfinished Dagger weapon class. Amazon Games said Season 10 would be the game’s final content release. The game was delisted in January 2026 and is scheduled to go offline on January 31, 2027.
Which New World: Aeternum update do these notes cover?
The three relevant releases are different in scope. Nighthaven added seasonal content, the October 30 Season 10 Minor update addressed fixes and quality-of-life changes, and the November 4 Daggers notes introduced a weapon class while warning that it was unfinished. Season 10: Nighthaven patch notes
New zone and story
Released October 13, 2025, Nighthaven centered on a new zone and a story involving the Tear of Gaea. Amazon Games described exploration through catacombs, castles, ruins and vertical structures, giving the season a new setting to explore rather than limiting it to incremental fixes.

The update also brought evolving endgame systems and a 10-player raid. These were among the headline additions in the publisher’s description of Season 10. Nighthaven was free for owners of New World: Aeternum.
Why Season 10 matters
Amazon Games identified Season 10 and Nighthaven as the final content release for New World on PC and consoles. The publisher said it had reached a point where continuing to support the game with new content updates was no longer sustainable. That makes Nighthaven the final major content update, not the start of another planned content season.

Season 10 Minor update: fixes and quality-of-life changes
The October 30, 2025 notes focused on maintenance rather than a new season-sized feature set. Amazon Games listed changes in several areas:
- Fixes to encounter mechanics in Reekwater.
- Fixes related to barrel explosions.
- Improvements to territory stability.
- Quality-of-life and user-interface changes.
The notes describe the changes, but do not establish that every individual player’s issue was resolved.

Daggers update: a new weapon class, with an unfinished-state warning
The November 4, 2025 notes introduced the Dagger weapon class. Amazon Games explicitly cautioned that the feature was unfinished and that bugs and issues were to be expected. Treat this as an early, imperfect release of the class, not as a polished feature with a promise that the known issues had been resolved.
Can you still play or buy New World: Aeternum?
Amazon Games’ January 15, 2026 update said the game had been delisted that day and would be taken offline from all platforms on January 31, 2027. Players who had already purchased it can reinstall it on the platform where they bought it. The publisher also said there would be no further content updates or server merges, while it would monitor bugs and performance as service winds down. World bosses and bonus weeks were expected to continue until shutdown. The publisher’s notice is available through the official announcements; Steam also displays a store notice for New World: Aeternum.
Purchases of Marks of Fortune and other in-game items ended July 20, 2026, according to the publisher’s January notice. Nighthaven had been free to Aeternum owners; the publisher’s earlier FAQ also said Rise of the Angry Earth content was included for those owners. For eligible owners of the original PC base game who had not previously purchased the expansion, the publisher announced that Rise of the Angry Earth would be included. Those were historical eligibility terms; the game is now delisted.
