Connections: Sports Edition puzzle #184, dated Wednesday, March 26, 2025, groups words around Washington, D.C. sports teams, figure-skating jumps, men’s basketball coaches in the Sweet 16, and former MLS team names. Start with the graduated hints below if you want to solve it yourself; the category labels and full answer key follow.
Hints for Connections: Sports Edition #184
Parade’s March 26, 2025, guide offers these hints, moving from broad clues to the puzzle’s four themes:
- Yellow: All of these are located near a specific U.S. city on the East Coast.
- Green: Moves associated with a particular sport; “flip” is another one.
- Blue: Lloyd, McCasland, Scheyer, and Calipari could be included.
- Purple: These no longer exist.

How Connections: Sports Edition works
Parade describes Connections: Sports Edition as a sports-focused version of Connections, a partnership between The New York Times and The Athletic. Players sort 16 words into four groups of four. Parade reports the NYT instruction as: “group sports terms that share a common thread.”
