Hints for Connections #892
Start with the category clues if you want to solve the puzzle without seeing every answer. Each group contains four words.
- Yellow: Think about a stocky build.
- Green: These words can mean to steer or direct.
- Blue: Look for second words in Edgar Allan Poe story titles that begin with “The.”
- Purple: Each answer is an organ with one letter added.
Spoiler warning: full grid and answers
The complete answer guide follows.
The sixteen listed tiles
SQUAT, SHEPHERD, PIT, FALL, LUNGE, LEAD, SKINK, SOLID, HUSKY, CASK, DIRECT, COLONY, GUIDE, THINK, MASQUE, HEARTH.
Yellow: STOCKY
The reported yellow group is HUSKY, SOLID, SQUAT, and THICK. These words describe a stocky or thickset build. There is a source-text discrepancy: the listed grid contains THINK where the solution gives THICK. The guides do not establish which spelling appeared in the original game interface, so the reported answer should not be silently substituted into the grid.
