How Connections works
Connections asks players to sort 16 words into four groups of four based on a shared connection. The groups have different difficulty levels, and misleading overlaps or wordplay can make a word seem to fit more than one category. TechRadar’s 2025 explainer says players can make up to four mistakes and describes the game as playable through NYT Games on desktop or mobile. Current access and subscription terms may differ; they are not established by that article.
