The Friday, November 29, 2024 puzzle has the theme “Give me a break.” If you need another nudge, think of what you might say to someone who has been working hard: “Take a load off.”
Spangram hint
The spangram clue is “Busy doing nothing.” It runs vertically from the top edge to the bottom edge of the grid, beginning and ending in the third column.
First-letter clues
Use these initials to narrow down the theme words without seeing the full list: LO, CH, PA, UN, LU, LO, RE. The spangram begins with DO.

How Strands clues and hints work
Strands is a word-search-style game: connect adjacent letters to form words related to the daily theme. Words can run vertically, horizontally or diagonally, and a path may change direction. Theme words fill the board without overlapping. The spangram expresses the theme and touches two opposite sides of the grid.
Parade reproduces the NYT instruction: “Find theme words to fill the board.” Finding three valid words that are not theme answers earns an in-game hint that reveals the letters of a theme word. That can help if you want a nudge from the puzzle itself before using a full answer list.
