- Try finding these words in the grid to trigger the game’s hints: SKIN, SPIRE, WALK, HEEL, SCAN, and HANG.
- The spangram has 13 letters.
- The spangram starts at the right edge in row 2 and ends at the left edge in row 6.
- The four theme words begin with SK, WE, VA, and CH.
How Strands works
Strands is a word-search-style game played on a six-by-eight letter grid. Find the theme words and the spangram, which connects opposite sides of the grid. Themes can take different forms: The New York Times statement reproduced by Forbes says, “Some themes are fill-in-the-blank phrases. They may also be steps in a process, items that all belong to the same category, synonyms or homophones.” Forbes
