- RAINBOW
The words point to elements of the Oz story: the Wizard and Scarecrow, the twister that carries Dorothy to Oz, the poppy field, and the rainbow song reference.
How Strands worked in contemporary guides
Guides published in May 2024 described Strands as a word-search variant played on a six-by-eight grid. Players find theme-related words and a spangram that describes the theme and connects opposite sides of the board. Paths can move in multiple directions, and finding three non-theme words could earn a hint that reveals a theme word. These are mechanics described by those 2024 guides, not a statement about current game access or terms.
