Are The Sims 1 and The Sims 2 coming back to PC?
They are already available again as official PC Legacy Collections. EA began the global rollout on January 31, 2025, through the EA app, Steam, and Epic Games Store. The currently listed editions are described for Windows 10 and 11 PCs. EA’s product pages are the best place to confirm current availability: The Sims: Legacy Collection and The Sims 2: Legacy Collection.
A headline about a possible release “this week” may refer to the 2025 relaunch or be out of date. EA’s January 9, 2026 update on the franchise’s future did not announce a fresh Sims 1 or Sims 2 launch for that week: EA’s franchise update.

Which collection or bundle should you choose?
The 25th Birthday Bundle contains both Legacy Collections. Choose an individual collection if you only want one game; choose the bundle if you want both. The bundle and collection contents are described in EA’s 25th anniversary announcement.
