Green — STATUS

POSITION, RANKING, STANDING, STATION. Each can refer to someone’s place, level, or standing.

Blue — words that make up “HVAC”

AIR, CONDITIONING, HEATING, VENTILATION. Together, the four words correspond to the letters in HVAC.

Purple — activities that involve folding

BAKING, LAUNDRY, ORIGAMI, POKER. The link is the activity-specific meaning of folding.

How the groupings work

The puzzle uses four different kinds of connection: anger-related synonyms, terms for status, the words represented by HVAC, and activities associated with folding. The last group is the least literal at first glance: folding means different things in baking, laundry, origami, and poker.
