Purple — STARTING WITH PARTS OF A WHEEL HUBBUB, RIMSHOT, SPOKESPERSON, TIRESOME Each begins with a wheel part: hub, rim, spokes, or tires.

How the trickiest connection works

The purple group relies on word beginnings rather than the words’ full meanings: HUBBUB starts with hub, RIMSHOT with rim, SPOKESPERSON with spokes, and TIRESOME with tires. The green set also asks you to hear the words aloud: DEEJAY, EMCEE, KAYO, and OKAY spell the initials DJ, MC, KO, and OK.
