How to play Connections
The New York Times describes Connections as a game in which players receive 16 words and find four groups of four that share something in common. The categories are color-coded by difficulty, from yellow (easiest) to purple (trickiest). NYT Help Center: Connections rules and access.

The NYT Help Center says the daily Connections puzzle releases at midnight in the player’s timezone. It also says eligible Games and All Access subscribers can play the archive, which extends back to June 12, 2023.
