Connections: Sports Edition puzzle #361, for Friday, September 19, 2025, asks you to sort 16 sports terms into four groups of four. Start with the progressive hints below; the category names and complete solutions follow in a separate spoiler section.

These clues get more specific as you go. Stop when you have enough to make your guesses.
- Yellow: Spotted on TV.
- Green: Unusual team names.
- Blue: Air Jordan.
- Purple: The Big House is another one.
How to approach the puzzle
Look for terms that can belong to a shared sports context, rather than assuming every word names a team. The clues point toward sideline equipment and personnel, NBA nicknames, teams associated with Michael Jordan, and college football stadiums. The game’s stated aim is to “group sports terms that share a common thread,” as quoted by Parade from the New York Times instructions (Parade’s September 19 guide).
