NYT Connections puzzle #707 was published on Sunday, May 18, 2025. Start with the hints below if you want a nudge without seeing the word groups; the complete answer is farther down, behind a spoiler warning.

Hints for Connections #707

Try these category nudges before revealing the full groups:

  • Yellow: Things a student might be asked to do.
  • Green: Feedback that suggests a guess is nearly right.
  • Blue: Words associated with being willing to try something.
  • Purple: Different things the letter A can stand for.

How Connections works

Connections asks players to sort 16 words into four groups of four. The New York Times Help Center says each puzzle has exactly one solution and can be tricky because words may fit multiple categories. It also describes category difficulty and the order in which players solve groups as tracked game information. Read the NYT Help Center guide to Connections for general rules and access details.

The puzzle’s four published groups move from student tasks to near-miss feedback, being up for something, and possible meanings of “A.”
