To beat Igris in Solo Leveling: ARISE, first confirm which Igris encounter you are facing, then use the boss’s displayed details to shape your team. For the Knight Commander Igris fight, an older Talk Android guide recommends saving Extreme Evasion for attack openings and using Shadow Step to reposition and counter. Treat its move advice as a suggested approach, not a guaranteed sequence: the available official Netmarble guide explains how to inspect boss details but does not provide a move-by-move Igris walkthrough.
Identify the Igris encounter before building your team
The title “Igris” can refer to more than one thing in the game. This guide’s combat advice is for the Knight Commander Igris story-boss encounter discussed by Talk Android. If you are in another mode or facing a different version, check its in-game details rather than assuming the same attacks or team advice apply.
Netmarble describes Unstable Dungeon as a mode with one-on-one battles against story bosses. It unlocks after Chapter 5, lets players review boss details to plan a formation, and rotates bosses weekly. Its guide also says it was written from a test version, so follow the current in-game information if it differs from the page: Netmarble’s Unstable Dungeon guide.
Prepare using the displayed boss details
- Open the encounter’s details. Check the boss information shown for the mode you are entering. In Unstable Dungeon, Netmarble specifically recommends using those details to plan your formation.
- Choose a team for the encounter, not the name alone. Consider the displayed requirements and recommendations, your Hunters’ roles and elements, and whether your team can break the boss. The available sources do not establish a universally optimal team or a current recommended power level for Igris.
- Know your evade and movement skills. Talk Android’s older Knight Commander Igris guide highlights Extreme Evasion and Shadow Step as tools for avoiding attacks and creating a chance to punish. Check your own skill setup and controls before committing to the fight.
Netmarble’s general Gates guide says gates provide growth materials and let players inspect a gate boss’s level and power. That is general progression information; it does not establish that any particular gate must be farmed to beat Igris.

Use evasion to make openings against Knight Commander Igris
The move-specific advice available here comes from Talk Android, not an official Netmarble walkthrough. The guide recommends using Extreme Evasion to avoid Igris’s attacks and Shadow Step to create an opening. Its central practical point is to resist attacking through a long animation: evade the sequence, wait for the multi-hit sword-ring move’s final hit, then counter when there is an opening. It also discusses dodging toward Igris around that attack.
Use those suggestions as a cautious starting point, not a fixed timing script. The source does not verify exact dodge windows, current damage values, or a universally reliable punish sequence. Watch the version of the move you see in your encounter, prioritize avoiding the full attack, and only commit to a counter when Igris has finished and your character can act safely. Read the third-party strategy at Talk Android’s Knight Commander Igris guide.

Do not confuse playable Sian Halat with the story boss
Netmarble announced on January 15, 2026, that Red Knight Igris would arrive as the SSR Hunter Sian Halat. The announcement identifies Sian Halat as a Dark-type Elemental Stacker and describes his ultimate, “Knight’s Pride”: Netmarble’s Sian Halat announcement. Those details describe a playable Hunter in Igris’s form; they do not establish the story boss’s weakness or prove that a Dark-element team is best against him.

A Netmarble developer note said Igris was planned to appear in a new form in Deep Containment Zone, while explicitly describing that content as under development and subject to change. That note is not confirmation that the encounter is currently live: Netmarble’s developer note. If you encounter a new Igris form, use its live boss details and do not assume the Knight Commander strategy applies unchanged.
