This spoiler-heavy walkthrough covers how to unlock Opus Magnum, prepare Enneleyn for the wedding, find Nikvard and the missing book at Trosky Castle, and decide whether to expose Miller Kreyzl. The castle investigation cannot be finished until you complete For Whom the Bells Tolls.
Unlock Opus Magnum
Complete Forbidden Fruit, then speak with Miller Kreyzl at Lower Semine Mill and accept his plan to get Henry into the wedding. The quest chain is Materia Prima → Forbidden Fruit → Opus Magnum.

Find Enneleyn
Go to the Zhelejov bathhouse and ask its owner, Dorothy, about finding a companion for Kreyzl’s plan. The bathhouse women will not agree; Dorothy directs Henry to Enneleyn at the Nomads’ Camp. Her exact position may vary, so use the quest marker and search the camp if she is not in the initial area.
Prepare Enneleyn for the wedding
Enneleyn needs Mintha perfume, a Tyrol brocade cotehardie, and one wine. Obtain the requested items, deliver them to her, and make sure Henry has suitable clothes before asking her to attend.

Dress and wine for Enneleyn
Get a Tyrol brocade cotehardie from the Troskowitz tailor. You can buy it for an approximate, reputation-dependent price or steal it, accepting the risk of being caught. The guides give differing price estimates, so check the tailor’s current offer rather than treating any listed amount as exact.
Enneleyn accepts either Cheap Wine or Fine Wine. PowerPyx lists Cheap Wine at Betty’s for 1 Groschen. Deliver the dress, perfume, and wine to Enneleyn.

Reach 16 Charisma for Henry
Before asking Enneleyn to go to the wedding, equip an outfit with at least 16 Charisma. Check Henry’s Charisma in the inventory: hunger or tiredness can lower it. Ask the tailor whether the outfit is suitable and proceed once he approves it. A low-cost outfit example in a walkthrough may not suit every inventory or reputation, so use the stat and tailor’s approval as your checks.
Attend the wedding and unlock the castle investigation
After Enneleyn accepts Henry’s outfit, continue through the wedding objectives. The remaining Opus Magnum objectives wait until you have completed the main quest For Whom the Bells Tolls and can access Trosky Castle.

Find Miller’s book at Trosky Castle
Speak with Scribe Ezarim at the castle; follow the active quest marker because his location can vary. He identifies Nikvard as the person who borrowed Kreyzl’s book. You can ask Ezarim about people who last saw Nikvard, then interview the cook, maid, and stable hand for optional clues. The stable hand asks for a longsword. These staff interviews add investigation context, but they are not required for the direct route.
Direct route to Nikvard and Lightbringer’s Secret
- Return to Ezarim after gathering information and choose the response: “The book fell into the privy.”
- Head to the western edge of Trosky Castle and use the western tower as your landmark.
- Follow the outside of the tower. Nikvard’s body is at its base; the book, Lightbringer’s Secret, is around the corner.
The tower landmark is more dependable than interpreting an ambiguous map marker. Take the book back to Kreyzl at Lower Semine Mill, finish the dialogue, and go to the Lair when prompted. Returning the book earns the Lead shot gunpowder recipe.
Spoiler: should you report Kreyzl?
Warning: this decision reveals a major quest outcome. After returning the book, you can report Kreyzl to Bailiff Thrush and agree to spy on him. That route leads to Kreyzl and his associates being hanged. If you want them to survive, do not report him. Gamer Guides describes a later option to take the Bailiff to the Lair after the book is returned.
