How Connections works
The New York Times Help Center describes the game this way: “Players are given 16 words and must find groups of four items that share something in common.” The four difficulty colors are yellow, green, blue, and purple, from easiest to trickiest. Words can appear to fit more than one theme, so look for the relationship that connects exactly four entries.

Why the year matters
The date alone can point to two different boards. TechRadar’s June 15, 2025 guide identifies the preceding day’s puzzle as game #734; Forbes’ guide for June 14, 2024 identifies that day’s puzzle as #369. The answers above are for June 14, 2025.

The NYT Help Center lists the Games app, nytimes.com/games/connections, nytimes.com/theathletic, and the News app as places to access Connections. The daily game is released at midnight in the player’s timezone. The Times says its archive goes back to June 12, 2023, and is available to All Access and Games subscribers; ordinary daily play and archived replay do not have the same stated access terms.
