For the chest, defeat all three Daisho first. Eagle Vision and the castle’s bell, viewpoint, and hay bale help you locate targets and plan a stealth route.
Where to find Osaka Castle
Explore Izumi Settsu to reveal the castle. It lies west of the Hideout, near the river that divides the region’s northern and southern halves. A practical route starts at the southeast side and works through the southeast, Tenshu, and southwest areas.

Naoe’s Ascension Boost skill can make scaling the outer wall easier. Once inside, use Eagle Vision to locate and tag the Daisho. You can also approach as Yasuke and fight through the guards; the guides describe both character approaches but do not provide a tested performance comparison.
Samurai Daisho locations
Guide numbering differs, so use the compass directions and landmarks rather than relying on a target number. The three targets are broadly in the southeast, around the Tenshu, and in the southwest.

Southeast patrol
The first target on this route patrols in the southeast. Climb the southern wall, draw his attention, then hide and assassinate him when he turns away.
Near the Tenshu
Move north along the eastern side, past the bell, toward the higher ground around the Tenshu. Sabotaging the bell is a useful precaution. Climb the Tenshu wall and watch for the second Daisho patrolling around it.

Southwest patrol
The final target is on the southwest side. The viewpoint can help you reach this area; look for the hay bale on the patrol route as an opportunity to ambush him.
Find the Kano Painting
The Kano Painting is inside a building in the southern part of the castle and is associated with The Art Collector quest. In the route above, look northeast of the southwestern Daisho’s hay bale. Enter the building and check a corner for the painting.

Open the Legendary Chest in the Tenshu
After defeating all three Samurai Daisho, climb to the uppermost area of the Tenshu. The chest is in an open room near the top, described by another guide as being on the uppermost floor.
The reward is Legendary Peasant Clothes for Naoe. One guide reports a perk that gives attacks a 3% chance to remove one Health Segment on hit; because that is guide-reported item information and game patches may change equipment, check the item description in your game.

Quick route checklist
- Reveal Osaka Castle in Izumi Settsu, west of the Hideout near the dividing river.
- Approach from the southeast and use Eagle Vision to tag the Daisho.
