Overpass 2 is a niche off-road racing game built around picking routes and managing difficult terrain, rather than simply reaching top speed. Its range of events and career management may suit players who want technical UTV, ATV, and Rock Bouncer driving, but player and critic reactions are divided, with recurring complaints about handling, camera movement, AI, and crashes. Whether it is worth playing depends largely on how much those issues affect your enjoyment.
What do reviews say about Overpass 2?
Reception is mixed, and the available evidence does not establish a universal verdict across platforms. The Steam listing snapshot described user reviews as “Mixed” and showed 56% positive from 53 reviews; that is a time-sensitive Steam figure, not a current rating for every platform. Check the Steam listing for its current review summary.

Steam Community comments reflect different experiences. Some players praise the scenery and say the game became more enjoyable after they adjusted controls; others describe steering as touchy, physics as inconsistent, the camera as troublesome, AI as frustrating, or crashes. These are individual reports, not evidence that every player will encounter the same problems. Metacritic’s review summaries likewise include criticism of controls, visuals, and core gameplay, alongside the view that the sequel improves on the first game; the available result does not give a complete critic-score breakdown for every platform.
How does the driving and obstacle racing work?
The core appeal is deliberate, obstacle-focused off-road driving. Players choose routes and work through terrain in UTVs, ATVs, and Rock Bouncers across five event types: off-road sprint, off-road circuit, hill climb, obstacle course, and closed circuit. That focus is a better fit for players seeking technical terrain challenges than for those mainly looking for fast, conventional circuit racing.

- Official manufacturers, equipment and sponsors and a comprehensive career mode with team and calendar management

Handling is also the most important point to weigh before buying. Community reviews describe control and physics problems, but experiences vary: one player says adjusting controls helped, while others remain dissatisfied. Camera movement is another reported concern. A Steam Community reviewer posting on August 13, 2025 said reducing camera shake to 2 out of 100 made the game solid for them; treat that as one player’s tip, not a guaranteed fix or a formal recommendation.
What modes and career features are included?
Steam describes solo and multiplayer play, with online races for up to eight players. Career mode adds team and budget management alongside sponsors, research and development, vehicle upgrades, and a skill tree. Those systems give the game a broader progression layer than its individual events, especially for players who enjoy managing a racing operation as well as driving.

Is Overpass 2 worth buying?
It is most appealing if you want obstacle-first off-road events, a range of specialized vehicles, and a career that includes team and budget decisions. The case is weaker if you prioritize consistently polished handling, predictable AI, or an unobtrusive camera: those are recurring complaints in player and critic commentary, though they are not proof that every player will have the same experience.
