GameSpot reported the boost as 5% XP when grouped with at least two PS Plus subscribers. That is a progression perk—not extra combat power—and it is separate from the PS Plus subscription required to play online multiplayer on PS5.
What is the Battlefield 6 PS Plus advantage?
It is a squad-based XP bonus that can help players progress faster. PlayStation’s current Battlefield 6 page describes the trigger as having “two or more players in the squad” on PlayStation. GameSpot’s October 9, 2025 report puts the modifier at 5% XP and describes the condition as grouping with at least two PS Plus subscribers, crediting CharlieIntel with spotting it.
The descriptions are similar but not identical: PlayStation’s current wording refers to players being on PlayStation, while GameSpot specifies PS Plus subscribers. The official page does not state a percentage alongside its description, so the 5% figure should be treated as GameSpot’s reported amount, not as a number currently confirmed in that PlayStation passage.
Does PS Plus alone give you the XP boost?
No. PlayStation says an active PS Plus subscription is required for Battlefield 6 online multiplayer modes on PS5. That is the baseline online-play requirement. The separate XP bonus is described as depending on squad composition, so subscribing by itself should not be taken to mean that every match earns extra XP.

Other Battlefield 6 benefits PlayStation lists
PlayStation’s Battlefield 6 page lists two additional benefits, each with its own condition:
- Battlefield Pro tier skips: PlayStation lists tier skips when purchasing Battlefield Pro; this is not a blanket subscriber XP increase.
- Extended access to selected 2XP events: PlayStation lists extended access to selected events, not a permanent double-XP benefit in every match.
What the advantage does—and does not—mean
The reported 5% is an XP modifier, so its relevance is progression. The cited descriptions do not establish better matchmaking, stronger weapons, improved abilities, or any other combat advantage. They also do not establish an equivalent bonus for Xbox or PC players.
