Sony scheduled the English-language broadcast for 2 p.m. PT / 5 p.m. ET / 11 p.m. CEST on June 4 (6 a.m. JST on June 5), with a planned runtime of more than 40 minutes. It streamed on YouTube and Twitch. The official recap includes the games, release plans and PlayStation announcements featured in the show.
When did the June 4 State of Play start, and where could viewers watch?
Sony announced the showcase on June 3, 2025. Its planned start times were 2 p.m. PT, 5 p.m. ET and 11 p.m. CEST on June 4, or 6 a.m. JST on June 5. PlayStation described the runtime as “40+ minute” and said the English-language stream would be on YouTube and Twitch. See the PlayStation announcement for the original schedule and viewing details.
For catching up, PlayStation’s State of Play page describes the program as a video showcase for PlayStation updates, announcements and trailers, and points viewers to full broadcasts on PlayStation.com, PlayStation Blog and YouTube. That guidance does not guarantee that every archived version will remain available indefinitely.
What was announced at the showcase?
PlayStation’s June 4 roundup covers reveals, release-date announcements and new looks at games. Dates below are the plans reported in that June 2025 recap; they should not be treated as a current release calendar, since publishers may have updated them since.

Games and release plans
- Astro Bot: Five Vicious Void Galaxy levels and Special Bots were announced, along with an updated smiley design for the Astro Bot Limited Edition DualSense wireless controller, then planned for later in 2025. The recap does not establish its current availability or price.
- Baby Steps: The recap listed September 8, 2025, for its PS5 release.
- Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement: A new chapter in the 2.5D action RPG series was shown, featuring two playable heroes.
- Cairn: The survival-climbing game was listed for PS5 on November 5, 2025, and a demo was announced for PlayStation Store.
- Digimon Story: Time Stranger: A trailer highlighted the story, characters and Digimon customization; the recap listed an October 3, 2025, launch.
- Everybody’s Golf Hot Shots: The recap listed a September 5, 2025, PS5 release and revealed Pac-Man as a guest character.
- Final Fantasy Tactics – The Ivalice Chronicles: Announced for PS5 and PS4 on September 30, 2025, the enhanced strategy RPG was shown with voiced dialogue, an updated UI, graphical improvements and quality-of-life changes.
- Ghost of Yōtei: PlayStation announced a dedicated gameplay episode for July 2025.
- Hirogami: The origami-inspired 3D platformer was listed for PS5 on September 3, 2025.
- 007 First Light: IO Interactive revealed a James Bond origin story then planned for PS5 the following year.
- Lumines Arise: The new PS5 entry was announced with optional PS VR2 compatibility.
- MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls: PlayStation Studios, Arc System Works and Marvel Games announced a tag-team fighting game.
- Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater: Its trailer featured the Cobra Unit and Snake vs Monkey. The recap listed an August 28, 2025, PS5 release.
- Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection: Digital Eclipse and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced a collection for PS4 and PS5, including classic games and interactive documentaries.
- Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound: The side-scrolling action game was listed for PS5 and PS4 on July 31, 2025.
- Nioh 3: Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja announced the PS5 game, its Samurai and Ninja styles, and a limited-time demo.
- Pragmata: Capcom showed gameplay in which players control protagonists Hugh and Diana simultaneously.
- Romeo is a Dead Man: Grasshopper Manufacture revealed an action title then planned for PS5 the following year.
- Sea of Remnants: The PS5 oceanic action RPG was shown with a crew, ship upgrades and an evolving pirate city.
- Silent Hill f: The recap described this standalone spinoff and listed a September 25, 2025, PS5 release.
- Thief VR: Legacy of Shadow: A new Thief game for PS VR2 was announced for later in 2025.
- Tides of Tomorrow: DigixArt’s asynchronous multiplayer adventure was listed for PS5 on February 24, 2026.
PlayStation Plus and hardware
- PlayStation Plus: The recap listed Deus Ex for the Game Catalog on June 17, 2025; Twisted Metal 3 and Twisted Metal 4 for Premium Classics on July 15; and Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis for Premium Classics later in the summer. It also listed Sword of the Sea for the August Game Catalog lineup. These are the recap’s 2025 plans, not confirmation of current catalog availability.
- Sword of the Sea: Giant Squid’s surfing adventure was listed for PS5 on August 19, 2025, as part of that month’s PlayStation Plus Game Catalog lineup.
- Project Defiant: Sony revealed its first wireless fight stick designed for PlayStation, then planned to support wireless PlayStation Link as well as wired play on PS5 or PC the following year.
Can creators co-stream or save the broadcast?
Sony’s announcement warned that the show might include copyrighted material, including licensed music that PlayStation does not control. Licensing agreements can interfere with co-streams or saved VODs. Sony advised creators who save a VOD or repost clips to omit copyrighted music; the notice does not identify particular tracks or guarantee how a platform will handle any specific clip. Check the announcement’s creator notice before using broadcast footage.
