When was the September 2024 State of Play?
Sony published the announcement on September 23, 2024, saying the show would air the following day. It began at 3 p.m. PT / 6 p.m. ET on September 24. In Sony’s listed time zones, the corresponding start was 12 a.m. CEST and 7 a.m. JST on September 25.
Those dates refer to the scheduled broadcast in 2024; this is a historical event announcement, not notice of an upcoming show. Sony’s PlayStation.Blog announcement has the original schedule.
How many games did Sony promise to show?
Sony said the broadcast would include news and updates on “more than 20 upcoming PS5 and PS VR2 games” from studios around the world. That figure describes the promised scope, not a confirmed list of titles. The announcement did not name the individual games or provide a recap of what was ultimately shown.
